British Airways fuel surcharges will now be $120 to $200 USD, depending on cabin class and length of travel.  You can get more details from Finance News.

Fuel surcharges are a significant portion of every ticket, especially international flights.  LookRight makes it easy to select flights based upon total ticket price, taxes, and fees by giving you all the details up front:

LookRight sorts your airfare quotes by total price (average per ticketed passenger) to give you easy access to the lowest total flight cost.  Then you can see what you will pay up front, without the hassle of going through the purchase process and being surprised by hidden fees and taxes.

In our example here of flying from:

Los Angeles, California (Los Angeles International Airport LAX)
to
London, England (United Kingdom, London Heathrow Airport LHR)

The lowest British Airways ticket price is $270.  Many sites would leave you to be surprised later by the total cost of $767.  LookRight gives you the grand total and any promotional discounts that we can apply to your purchase.

American Airlines will start charging from $19 to $39 extra for the first few rows of coach seats -- including bulkhead seats -- on popular routes, such as San Francisco to Dallas.

The “Express Seating” program will sell these reserved seats through the self-service check-in.  Upgrading passengers will also get to board in the first group.  Other coach seats can be reserved as usual.

Frequent fliers will still be able to select these reserved seats at no extra charge.

American Airlines joins AirTran Airways and Continental Airlines who have similar programs for charging extra for good coach seats.
